I like replying my commentators, because I can get into a discussion with them. I’m very glad to know that newest Wordpress 2.7 has a feature to reply to comment. But sometimes I feel annoyed with comment counter that messed up because it counts my comments too. I can’t get the right statistic about the others’ comment.
Because of that, I made this simple plugin, that will keep your own comment (or post owner’s) from being counted in post comments count. You just need to copy the file to you /wp-contents/plugins/ and then activate it from Plugin section in Admin page.

Does this plug-in work with WP 2.7.1? Over at the WordPress plug in directory it says:
Requires WordPress Version: Maybe All or higher
I’m not sure what “Maybe All or higher” means.

Howdy, thank you for your reply. I just installed it and it works really well! Previously I had counts around 60 to 120 which feels fake, since half of those are my responses.
So this was exactly the plug-in I was looking for. Way to go and thank you very much!
